Each house uses exquisite centuries-old English furniture collections, fine 19th century art, and carefully planned lighting and color schemes to create a secluded, romantic ambience. Our Edgartown suites are adorned with perfectly placed period pieces, and exude the cozy, overstuffed feeling of a collector’s home.

All our Martha’s Vineyard hotel suites feature a bedroom, bathroom, and private living room. They may also display:

• Sleigh beds layered with white linens and goose down pillows

Hand-cut crystal vases with fresh flowers, silver mirrors, and antique brushes turn many 100-year-old living room tabletops into miniature tableaus at The Charlotte Inn.

Housekeepers in traditional black and white uniforms replenish towels, provide turndown service, and adjust lighting nightly.

Secluded Elegance at Our Martha’s Vineyard Hotel

The Inn’s lush gardens are the perfect compliment to our suites. The grounds’ immaculate lawns are thoughtfully trimmed with English ivy, tile borders, and antique fountains. The sculptured hedges are decorated with dozens of colorful potted plants and seasonal flowers, hiding small secluded areas furnished with comfortable patio chairs and sofas.

We want every stay at our Martha’s Vineyard hotel to be a restful vacation. We politely require our guests restrict cell phone use to their suite. As guests escape the bustle of their daily lives, the only sounds heard may be the peaceful creak of a rocking chair, the quiet rustle of a newspaper, or the relaxing clink of ice cubes in a glass.
